Hi all, sorry for dropping off the earth again. I'm having some health issues, and I'm going to be going in for a few surgeries in the near future, so I'm holding off putting up any new challenges because I won't be around to actually post/follow up with them.

I should know more by the first of the month, including the scheduled dates, so I'll amend this post at that point.

Until then, I'm cool if you guys want to treat this like an extended Amnesty Week and post stuff in that format, at least until I have something more firm for making plans.

Thanks,
- Li

Oops, looks like the extension week was a bust for extra entries, but we've got 4 entries this challenge!

List of entries )

In order to vote, please reply to this post using the form provided. All comments are screened, and entries are listed in the order they were submitted. For your vote to qualify, you must fill out your entire voting card (all three spots) in order to be counted. First place votes are worth 3 points, second place votes are worth two points, and third place votes are worth one point. Meeting the bonus goal on an entry gets an extra point for that submission.

When voting, please copy/paste the ENTRY NUMBER and the FIC TITLE from the list above into the spot you're voting for (this prevents accidentally mis-numbering a vote and casting it for the wrong entry). It should look like this:

Please Note: Because we only have 4 entries this week, there is only a First Place and Runner Up to vote for!

First Place: 61. Fic Title Here
Runner Up: 88. Another Fic Title

Please note that you cannot vote for your own entry, and that votes cannot be made anonymously. You do not have to be a member of the community in order to vote, nor have submitted an entry for this week; everyone is welcome to participate in the voting. IP addresses are logged to prevent duplicate voting.

Voting closes Wednesday, October 12th, at 9:00PM EST.

So I should have posted this before I left, but I was away to a wedding the last 6 days, and so obviously things were not getting posted on time because wedding timelines eat people. So we're going to run the Amnesia challenge until Oct 10th, and remember you can submit up to 2 entries for each challenge!

Thanks all,
Li

Challenge 026:
AMNESIA

Amnesia can occur due to a variety of circumstances, but it can be either a blessing or a curse. Has someone forgotten their closest friend or partner? Can a villain not recall his thirst for revenge? Do they appreciate people trying to help them pick up where they left off, or do they simply want a new start of things? Write a story where a character experiences amnesia, either temporarily or permanently.

Challenge 025:
HURTS SO GOOD
There is plenty of documentation to support the parallels between pain and pleasure, but it's speculated to have both scientific and psychological aspects. These sensations could be relating to physical stimulation, emotional, or even secondhand. Write a story in which a character experiences both pain and pleasure from something. (Please remember that there are no NC-17 fics, and to add any appropriate warnings depending on your take of this theme!) This week's bonus goal courtesy of [personal profile] cyberiad_queen!

BONUS GOAL: Drip, Drip, Drip

If your submission contains something dripping, that entry will earn an extra point to be tallied during voting!
