We're going to start off with a nice broad theme for our first round! New beginnings can represent turning points in character's lives, providing them a fresh start, perhaps when they need it most. Sometimes these changes are willing, and sometimes they're not. This could be anything from starting over in a new city, to entering a new relationship, or even gaining a new understanding of themselves. Write a fic themed on the idea of a new beginning. BONUS GOAL: "It happened on the first of the month." If your submission includes the above phrase of dialogue, that entry will earn an extra point to be tallied during voting!
