n. something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past Families pass things down to their members, whether they mean to or not. Have your characters received some form of legacy from their families? Maybe they joined some kind of family business, took up a parent’s career, or simply rely on a parent or grandparent’s advice for tough situations. On the other hand, maybe their family legacy is something darker, and they’ve spent their lives avoiding it. Are they thinking about what kind of legacy they plan to leave? Write a story about legacies. BONUS GOAL: Family Heirlooms If your story includes a family heirloom, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
