Challenge 218: CAUGHT IN THE RAIN

Oops! Did your characters forget an umbrella? Misread the weather forecast? Get caught off-guard by an impossible out-of-season storm? Whatever the case, it’s raining, and they’re out in it. Do they have a better-prepared friend or love interest to come along to rescue them? Is there somewhere warm and dry they can duck out of the rain and wait for it to pass? Or do they have to continue on wherever they’re going, rain or no rain? Write a story about getting caught in the rain. BONUS GOAL: “Today just keeps getting worse.” If your submission includes this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
