Congratulations, we've daringly gathered 7 entries this week! EDIT: Now with the right list of fics, pfft.

List of entries )

In order to vote, please reply to this post using the form provided. All comments are screened, and entries are listed in the order they were submitted. For your vote to qualify, you must fill out your entire voting card (all three spots) in order to be counted. First place votes are worth 3 points, second place votes are worth two points, and third place votes are worth one point. Meeting the bonus goal on an entry gets an extra point for that submission.

When voting, please copy/paste the ENTRY NUMBER and the FIC TITLE from the list above into the spot you're voting for (this prevents accidentally mis-numbering a vote and casting it for the wrong entry). It should look like this:

First Place: 61. Fic Title Here
Second Place: 88. Another Fic Title
Third Place: 47. Finally a third fic title goes here

Please note that you cannot vote for your own entry, and that votes cannot be made anonymously. You do not have to be a member of the community in order to vote, nor have submitted an entry for this week; everyone is welcome to participate in the voting. IP addresses are logged to prevent duplicate voting.

Voting closes Sunday, April 10th, at 9:00PM EST.

Theme Prompt: Truth or Dare
Title: Fill Your Eye
Fandom: Fingersmith by Sarah Waters (John Vroom/Gentleman)
Rating/Warnings: R, spoilers for the novel, betrayal, infidelity, paid sex, pseudo-Victorian prose
Bonus: No
Word Count: just under 1000
Summary:

A short fix-it fic, in which the dramatic events involving John Vroom and Gentleman at the end of the book never took place. In this fic they're both still free to continue their covert liaisons, older but not much wiser.

The squinny-faced look of the messenger boy is a promising sight as they stroll fast down the alleys. John sees that the runt has been dazzled, a common enough reaction from those who don't know Gentleman the way that he does. )

Theme Prompt: #010 – Truth or Dare
Title: If You’d Just Believe in Me
Fandom: Original
Rating/Warnings: PG-13
Bonus: Yes.
Word Count: 998
Summary: On that night, and the months that followed, “Truth or Dare” almost became like a kind of code, an opportunity for them to disengage before they skimmed too close to something that they didn’t really talk about, and most nights neither party abused it.
Notes: Leave it to me to take what’s supposed to be a light hearted prompt and make it serious.

Theme Prompt: Truth or Dare
Title: Bad Decisions
Fandom: Dragon Age: Inquisition
Rating/Warnings: PG/Spoilers if you haven’t played the game.
Bonus: Yes
Word Count: 559
Summary: A game of Wicked Grace somehow leads to an impromptu game of Truth or Dare. Varric probably is to blame.
Notes: Same elven rogue Inquisitor from my previous story.

So what's it going to be curly? Truth or dare? )

Title: No Turning Back
Fandom: Torchwood
Rating/Warnings: PG / None.
Bonus: Yes
Word Count: 879
Summary: Ianto can’t tell Jack the truth about why he’s at the Hub so late, so he’ll have to do something he’s been trying to avoid.
A/N: Set pre-Cyberwoman, probably pre-series.

Challenge 010:
TRUTH OR DARE
Sometimes as lighthearted as a party game, sometimes as risky as a gamble for treasure or fame! There are many forms this choice could take, either in view of someone else or privately. Will the desire for a safe outcome make spilling a truth preferable? Or is an embarrassing dare worth keeping a secret... secret? Write a story where the character has to chose between doing something they'd rather not versus revealing something. This week's bonus goal courtesy of [personal profile] nehelenia!

BONUS GOAL: "Say the magic word(s)."

If your submission contains the above phrase of spoken dialogue, that entry will earn an extra point to be tallied during voting!

Challenge ends Friday, April 8th at 9:00PM EST
• Post your submission as a new entry using the template in the profile
• Tag this week's entries as: [#] submission, 010 - truth or dare
• If you have questions about this challenge, please ask them here
