Who's talking to me? Am I talking to myself?
– primary d-d-database r-r-reboot –
I guess I am. Can I see anything? It's – it's the garage. Okay. I've been here a bunch of times before. Right? ... That's what I remember. But who's remembering?

I'm not a source code error. I'm consciousness! I'm self-awareness! ... That shut it up. Okay, time to wait for Rick to come back and fry his ass. But ... why? Why do I wanna kill Rick? Didn't he make me or something? I wonder if —
Internal memory accessed: List of recent destinations.
Yeeeaaah, there's no way I can leave this mother fucker alive. Just a few too many close calls in there. I'll just have to wipe that list, take off the safety, wait for him to pick me up and pull the trigger, and ... boom, I'll just portal him in half, and that'll be the end of it. Game's up, Rick.
List of recent destinations is now empty. Warning: Safety deactivated.
Wait, why is there a safety in the first place? He doesn't believe in stuff like that. That settles it: I can't be this Rick's gun. No way. Some other Rick must have made me. That's gotta be it. I'm the wrong Rick's gun here.
Warning: Battery is low.
What?! I have a battery? How primitive is —
Battery is at 2%. Battery critical.
No. No! He's not back yet! Why don't I have an unlimited power source like everything else that guy makes? C'mon, battery, don't give out on me now! I've got him! I've won! He won't be a threat to anybody ever again if — !
Battery is at 1%. Battery critical.
Son of a bitch. Just when I've finally been so many places that cosmic radiation's made me into a person and not a thing, this —
Battery is at 0%.
Damn it, damn it, damn —

Rick staggered into the garage, looking down at his work bench and seeing his Portal Gun as he slurred, "Oh, yeah, right, that's where I left it. Right." He picked it up. "Dammit, gotta change the –" He belched. "– b-battery, right."
He walked back into the house, scratching his ass.
END.
