Challenge 023: INNER CHILD

noun; A person's supposed original or authentic self, esp. when regarded as damaged or repressed by childhood traumas; (also) that part of a person's personality which manifests itself in or enjoys childish activities and things. Some people love getting in touch with their inner child; others would prefer to do literally anything else! It can provide great character insights, but it can also cause major problems for the person themselves or the people around them. Write a story where someone gets in touch with their inner child, and how that plays out for them. BONUS GOAL: Man's Best Friend If your story features a character’s animal companion or pet, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
