Challenge 045: FALL FROM GRACE

Some heroes never encounter temptation, or resist it easily when they do, but not all of them! For many characters, a fall from grace is only a single wrong choice away. Sometimes the temptation is magical or mystical, or a side effect of their powers—the Dark Side, a forbidden technique, a cursed artifact that slowly brainwashes its wielder—but it doesn’t have to be. Mundane temptations, like bribes, threats from powerful figures, or family pressures, can make that wrong choice just as compelling as any magical temptation. Write a story about someone’s fall from grace. BONUS GOAL: “This isn’t like you.” If your story includes this quote, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
