Same here, I write a lot of fix-its because dammit, the characters deserved better than they got!

Yeah, very depressing, and some of the episodes are pretty bleak, but the first two seasons are... uneven, but with some good stuff. Last ep of season 2 is heartbreaking though. I've never re-watched season 3, too depressing, and I didn't bother with season 4 at all, there was nothing left of the show I'd loved by that point. But Ianto is worth watching, with his sharp suits, Welsh accent, and cheeky quips. I think he gets the best of the funny lines. You've probably guessed he's my favourite.
