Challenge 081: HAUNTED HOUSE

Who doesn’t love the idea of exploring an ancient mansion, filled with mysterious treasures and possibly ghosts? Well, lots of people, actually, but even the most timid protagonist can’t guarantee that they’ll never have to enter one. Is it a rickety old house that everyone avoids, or a beautiful mansion that seems just a little more wrong the longer our heroes stay there? Are there really ghosts or demons, or are those just stories made up to keep people away from the house? Does it contain some kind of hidden treasure or information that’s worth sticking around for, or is the sensible option to turn around and leave immediately? The only way to find out is to go in… Write a story about a haunted house. BONUS GOAL: The Unluckiest Number If your wordcount is between 600-699, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
