Challenge 125: COME IN FROM THE COLD

This prompt was suggested by ysabetwordsmith! Is there anything better than coming inside after spending a long time out in the snow and ice? (Besides not going out in the snow and ice in the first place, some might say, adding another coat on top of their existing layers.) Maybe your characters just went on a brisk walk in the rain and now they’re coming in to dry off and warm up, or maybe they’re on a long journey through snow-covered mountains and this is the first opportunity they’ve had in weeks to come inside, warm up, and sleep in a real bed. Maybe one character sees the other outside in the cold and brings them in, or maybe they’re outside together building their own shelter. Write a story about coming in from the cold. BONUS GOAL: Perfect Snowflakes If your submission includes falling snow, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
