Challenge 135: OUT OF SORTS

adj.: somewhat ill; grouchy, irritable Have you ever had one of those days where it seems like you just got up on the wrong side of the bed? Nothing’s quite going right. Your alarm didn’t go off, the replicators are possessed again and there’s no coffee, or there are a million pointless emails to deal with at work, and everything is frustrating. You might be a little bit out of sorts. How do your characters deal with being out of sorts? Do they take the day off and try again tomorrow? Force themselves through the day no matter how difficult it is? Grumble at everyone, or keep it to themselves? Write a story about being out of sorts. BONUS GOAL: “It’s just one of those days.” If your submission features this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
