[#137 | Jumping to Conclusions] Challenge Post

Challenge 137:
JUMPING TO CONCLUSIONS
Sometimes, it’s all too easy to assume you know exactly what’s going on, even when you don’t have all the information. Maybe you overheard part of a conversation, and there’s no way what you heard could mean something innocent. Maybe you know what that person’s like, and you’re confident you know exactly what they did. Or maybe you’ve seen the majority of the report, and you can’t imagine anything else in there that would change your mind.

But that can be a dangerous approach! A wrong conclusion could hurt your relationships, send you in the wrong direction, or cause everything to blow up in your face – and because you don’t have all the information, jumping to conclusions has a very high risk of producing a wrong answer.

Write a story about jumping to conclusions.

BONUS GOAL: “I know what I’m doing!”

If your submission features this quote, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!

Challenge ends Monday, May 23 at 9:00PM EST.
