It could be a person with a volatile temper, a piece of technology that's notoriously finicky, or a nerve-wracking situation where everyone treads carefully, and the wrong move could spell bad news for everyone. But on the flip side, the phrase could belong to a gift that's extremely breakable, a profitable undertaking, or a very small person in need of holding.
