[#146 | Creation] Challenge Post
Challenge 146: CREATION |
People like to make things! More specifically, people have been making things for just about as long as we’ve existed, from the first prehistoric hunting and gardening implements to today’s computers and spaceships. We create stories and art, technology and tools, and build on what our ancestors have created to make new things. But creating things isn’t always valued for its own sake – sometimes, people want a good reason to invest time and effort in making something. Will it be useful? Does it fill a specific need? Other people might counter that it doesn’t need to be useful to be worthwhile, and that sometimes creation for its own sake is reason enough. What do your characters think about it? What do they create? Write a story about creation. If your submission includes this quote, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting! |
Challenge ends Monday, August 8 at 9:00PM EST. • Post submissions as new entries using the template in the profile • Tag this week's entries as: [#] submission, 146 - creation • If you have questions about this challenge, please ask them here |
