[#151 | The Dance] Challenge Post
Challenge 151: THE DANCE |
Maybe it’s a school prom with awkward teenagers, or a college party with questionably loud music. Maybe it’s the start of the reception at a wedding, or an intimate moment at home with candles and soft music. Maybe it’s a sparring match or a fight between two martial artists, described poetically. Whatever the situation, it all adds up to the same thing: someone needs to dance. Dancing can be a powerful performance, a moment of intimacy, a metaphor for something else entirely, or an awkward situation, depending on how good the dancer is, and who they’re dancing with! How are your characters at dancing? Are they graceful and skilled? Is it just a bit of fun entertainment for them? Do they avoid it, out of a fear they won’t do well or because they know they won’t? Is there someone in particular they want to dance with? Write a story about a dance. If your submission includes music, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting! |
Challenge ends Monday, September 26 at 9:00PM EST. • Post submissions as new entries using the template in the profile • Tag this week's entries as: [#] submission, 151 – the dance • If you have questions about this challenge, please ask them here |
