Challenge 012: MEET THE PARENTS

Ah, the rite of passage: meeting the parental units. Is it the nervous turning point in a new relationship? An accidental crossing of paths? Or might someone be meeting their parents for the first time? Not to mention, family isn't always a blood relation, and parental figures can come in all shapes and ages. Write a story where the your character(s) have to meet parents, or parental-type figures. BONUS GOAL: Nickname If your submission contains a character referring to someone by a nickname or pet name, that entry will earn an extra point to be tallied during voting!
