Summary: A humorous take on the prompt in which Chica wants to make pizza
“Bonnie, would you be so kind and give me the flour?”, Chica asked, while she was searching for the board. In between the last time she had decided to make some pizza and today someone had been in the kitchen. It was probably the new night guard, who was spending too much time outside of his office anyways.
Ah, there was the board. Her optics lit up and her beak opened a tad to resemble a smile. She turned around only to be greeted by Bonnie’s words “Catch, Chica”.
Was that silly rabbit really going to throw the flour package?
Before Chica was able to put the board on the counter-top her optics noticed the flour package which was in midair. In a helpless attempt to catch it she dropped the board and made a large step forward, raised her arm to catch the package but she missed it and it bounced off her beak, leaving it covered in flour.
She glanced at the blue rabbit who shrugged his shoulders and had trouble not to laugh. He couldn’t help but notice that Chica was adorable when she on the verge of being angry.
“I said ‘give’ and not ‘throw’, at least I know for sure that this was not the last package of flour in the pantry.
Chica picked up the damaged flour package, making sure not to spill even more of the flour on the ground. Her motion sensors picked up Bonnie’s movements.
“No. You stay where you are. I’ll get it myself.”
The dough was resting, which meant that it was time to clean the floor but Bonnie had left the kitchen when she had been busy with kneading the dough, so it was up to her to get rid of the flour on the ground.
After a walk around the pizzeria Chica returned into the kitchen, only to find Freddy building a castle out of the tins from the pantry in the middle of the kitchen. “We don’t have toy bricks here”, the bear excused his misuse of the tins.
“It looks beautiful, Freddy”, Chica said, failing to hide the faint sadness in her voice. “Keep on building. I just need one of these”, she remarked as the chicken reached for the a tin of champions.
“Oh and if you would please try not to use all the tin of sieved tomatoes, that would be nice.”
Chica removed the kitchen towel from the bowl. She was pleased how the dough has risen and began to spread it on the tray.
“Freddy, would you be so kind to give me two tins of sieved tomatoes, please?”
She turned around, watching Freddy holding a tin in each of his hands. “Watch you …” But the rest of her warning wasn’t audible as the inevitable has already happened and Freddy had stepped right into his tin can-castle. With the last effort he could get hold of the edge of the counter-top.
“Are you alright?”, Chica asked worried. “Yes. I will collect the cans. Just pretend I am not in the kitchen.”
Chica went to the only refrigerator which was still in service and fetched the cheese out of it. The freshly grated cheese filled the bowl to the brim and it was obvious that this pizza would have a bit too much cheese on it, but according to Chica a pizza could never have too much cheese.
She prepared the pizza and by the time it was in the oven Freddy was done with collecting the tins.
The two left the kitchen and went into the dining area. Bonnie was on the show stage, playing a familiar tune on his guitar when he suddenly stopped, his ears moving as they picked up some sound which came from outside of the building.
“It is his car”, Bonnie whispered as he gestured to Freddy and Chica to reassume their usual position on the show stage.
“But the pizza …” Chica whispered as she stepped onto the stage.
“Shh. As long as it isn’t in the oven everything is fine”, Bonnie answered before he stood on the stage as usual.
Chica and Freddy exchanged a worried look and just when he door was opened they returned to pretending to be old animatronics.
The night guard headed to his office, his thoughts were elsewhere when suddenly he stopped. It shouldn’t be possible but he was smelling pizza. And it was not the nice smell of freshly out of the oven pizza but rather one which was about to burn into a black mess.
“What the hell”, he exclaimed as he opened the kitchen, which was already clouded with smoke. He had to prevent the worst case scenario of the place burning down. He had spend already enough nights in the pizzeria to know that the fire sprinkler on the roof where probably not working.
While the night guard was trying to keep his nerves together the animatronics on the show stage came to life.
“Chica, that was the last time you made pizza”, Bonnie whispered to the chicken, who just opened her beak to reply, when Bonnie added hastily “At least make sure you’re not making it in the evening.”
He had seen the look on her face and he knew how much Chica loved pizza, just like every other member of the crew.
