Title: Alone

Author's note: Forgot Yura wasn't canonically a spider demon, but a hair one. So here I made her a spider but kept the hair theme
Summary: Yura isn't lonely in her cave. She has lots of skulls and hair to keep her company.
Yura is a spider demon,
A failed one
The only spider demon who is unable to produce her own thread
And yet here she is, hanging upside down from the ceiling of a cave.
She is only hanging on by a hair, the snapping of which could send her careening down to her doom.
She doesn’t care though.
She knows this hair, for it is not a regular spider thread,
It is hers, she made it hers when she killed the demon it belonged to
It is born from her strength and force of will, and so long as she has either of those, it will remain
Solid and steady
Like her
She pulls on a hair to select a skull from her collection and brings it to her face
She has to hold it upside down relative to her position, to make sure that the hair falls down properly and doesn’t tangle
She brushes it, watching it grow luscious and long
She directs it to complete the web of hair she has built over time in her dwelling
She likes this cave
She likes the network of hair she has built over time, the one that warns her of every movement and change in her territory.
She is no longer alone
Surrounded by her slain kin and other trapped victims so they will never leave her
All she needs are their hair and skulls, so that is all she keeps of them
A tug, a sound, this time underwater, and Yura peers at the darkness below
Maybe she will have company tonight.
