Challenge 287: HOT WATER

Hot water is one of those things many of us take for granted. Just turn the tap and there it is, ready to heat up a little further for a nice hot bath, fill the sink to clean something, or take a nice hot bath! But it’s not always that simple. In a lot of places, hot water’s not that easy to come by, and even when it is, there’s a fine line between comfortably warm and far too hot. In the metaphorical sense, “hot water” refers more to the latter than the former! Someone who’s in hot water has found themselves in some kind of trouble. No matter how nice the water seemed originally, it’s getting a little too hot… Write a story about hot water (in either sense of the phrase).
