Challenge 302: CHAMPION

n. a winner of first prize or first place in competition; one who shows marked superiority; one that does battle for another's rights or honor What does it mean to be a champion? Do you just have to win a competition of some sort, or is there more to it than that? Can you be a champion without winning at all? Maybe your characters are great warriors, or professional athletes, or some combination thereof; but there’s less flashy ways to be a champion, too. Write a story about a champion. BONUS GOAL: All That Glitters If your submission features gold, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
