[#003 | DEVIL'S ADVOCATE] CHALLENGE POST
Challenge 003: DEVIL'S ADVOCATE |
(noun.) One who argues against a cause or position, not as a committed opponent but simply for the sake of argument or to determine the validity of the cause or position. Hearing the opposing side of a plan or argument can be beneficial, but sometimes it isn't! A devil's advocate can help strengthen a person's position on a matter, but conversely, a well-presented counterpoint can also weaken one's conviction. Is the person presenting this opposite point of view doing it to help, or to harm? Write a story where someone is playing the devil's advocate on a situation, whether for a beneficial reasons or selfish intentions. This week's prompt is courtesy of ![]() If your submission contains any kind of flashback, that entry will earn an extra point to be tallied during voting! |
