[#008 | SCHADENFREUDE] CHALLENGE POST
Challenge 008: SCHADENFREUDE |
(noun.) a feeling of pleasure or satisfaction when something bad happens to someone else While satisfaction can be a powerful emotion, and one that's often overlooked in the face of more volatile or profound ones like anger or joy, schadenfreude often carries connotations of a victory or triumph, or otherwise enjoyment of someone else's suffering. People sometimes have trouble accepting that emotion, while others revel in it. Write a story where someone feels schadenfreude at someone else's misfortune, and how it makes them feel. If your submission contains this line of dialogue, that entry will earn an extra point to be tallied during voting! |
Challenge ends Monday, February 25 at 9:00PM EST • Post submissions as new entries using the template in the profile • Tag this week's entries as: [#] submission, 008 - schadenfreude • If you have questions about this challenge, please ask them here |
