Title: Health Conscious

Summary: Hiro starts to get annoyed with Baymax always telling him what to do
Hiro headed for the door of the Lucky Cat Cafe.
“I’m meeting the others at the lab,” he called over his shoulder to Aunt Cass. “Big project. Don’t wait up.”
Baymax raised a finger as he moved to block the door.
“The temperature outside is five degrees colder than yesterday. You should wear a coat.”
Hiro sighed, but reached for his jacket, which hung on the coat rack by the door. “I guess you’re right, Baymax.”
They headed out.

At the lab, Honey Lemon was mixing weirdly coloured chemicals in a flat-bottomed flask over a Bunsen burner.
“You might all want to step back a smidge,” she said, as she tipped a test tube of bright blue liquid towards the opening of the flask.
Baymax raised a finger from where he stood to one side.
“If there is any danger of spatter, you should all be wearing safety goggles.”
Honey Lemon froze just before allowing the liquid to leave the test tube, and sighed.
“You’re right, Baymax. Safety first, everyone!”
They all took a moment to don some goggles before Honey Lemon continued with her experiment.

Out on patrol, Big Hero 6 came across a robbery in progress and pursued the criminals through the streets of San Fransokyo, as they fled on motorbikes. They headed down a narrow alleyway, GoGo hot on their heels, then shot up a ramp and over a wall. GoGo put her head down and increased her speed.
Baymax raised a finger as he soared overhead, Hiro perched on his back.
“You should not attempt a jump when you cannot see what is on the other side.”
GoGo let out a cry of frustration and shifted her weight to bring herself to a screeching halt just before the ramp.
“I hate it when you’re right, Baymax.” She sighed. “You guys go on ahead. I’ll find another way round.”

Back at the Lucky Cat cafe after patrol, they were all sitting around their usual table. Fred stabbed at the food on his plate, adding a pickle to the stack of bacon, mushroom, sausage and fries already on his fork. He lifted it towards his face, opening his mouth as wide as it would go.
Baymax raised a finger from where he stood behind Hiro on the other side of the table.
“You increase your risk of choking exponentially with the additional amount of food you attempt to place in your mouth in one go.”
Fred looked at the delicious combination of morsels on his fork, then at Baymax, then back at the food again. He sighed and put his fork back down on his plate.
“Sometimes you’re no fun at all, Baymax,” he said. “But you’re probably right.”

Hiro was getting ready for bed. He pulled on his pyjamas and drew back the covers to climb into bed.
Baymax raised a finger from where he stood on his charging platform against the wall.
“You should floss regularly to help prevent gum disease.”
Hiro rolled his eyes. “Here we go again! You’re always nagging at as all. You’ve got such a one-track mind. Can’t you give it a rest sometimes.”
Baymax blinked. “I am a personal healthcare companion. I was designed to promote good health and wellbeing amongst those in my charge. So the track of my mind is programmed to advise on good health decisions. Tadashi would want me to look after you all to the best of my ability.”
Hiro sighed. “As usual, you’re right, Baymax.”
He went to floss.
