[#050 | Blaze of Glory] Challenge Post
Challenge 050: BLAZE OF GLORY |
in an extraordinary or impressive manner, used to describe a final action Some characters like the idea of “going out in a blaze of glory”, either metaphorically—at the end of their career, or when planning to leave an organization or group—or literally. Others aren’t so impressed with that kind of dramatic plan, and would prefer not to draw attention to the end of their career, life, or tenure with an organization. Someone’s decision to go out in a blaze of glory can provide an intense, dramatic climax; but a choice not to do that can be equally powerful, and a character’s opinion on the idea can tell others a lot about them. Write a story about someone considering or actually going out in a blaze of glory—or not. If your story includes an actual fire (in any context), it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting! |
