Forests can be enchanting, mysterious places of wonder and beauty, where characters go to clear their minds or explore the natural world. It can be a home, a place that provides sustenance and support, or a retreat away from daily life. But the forest can also be ominous and terrifying, the place where the monsters hide or the deadly trail the heroes must follow in order to reach their goal. After all, even the prettiest forest has its dark places… Write a story about entering the forest. BONUS GOAL: Twinkle Twinkle If your story includes characters stargazing, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
