Challenge 118: MISTAKEN IDENTITY

Can we ever really know anyone? Well, yeah, probably, but sometimes they’re still hard to pick out of a crowd! Maybe your character walks up to the wrong car in the parking lot, or hugs the wrong person at the work picnic. Maybe they tried to pet a stray cat and discovered it was an opossum. Or maybe it’s something more serious – a rescue mission that retrieves the wrong person, a vengeance quest that targets someone who had nothing to do with the original offense, or an assassination attempt kills the target’s family member. Write a story about mistaken identity. BONUS GOAL: “Wait, you’re not…” If your submission includes this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
