Challenge 123: SNOWED IN

Being snowed in (or, in some areas, iced in) is, at best, an inconvenience. Whatever plans you had for the day, whether it was mundane work and errands or an adventure with friends, are officially canceled. Instead, you’ll be staying inside to watch the snow fall, and hoping you can dig yourself out when it’s done – and that’s assuming the power doesn’t go out! But being snowed in can also be an opportunity for cozy relaxation, and to get to know anyone you’re snowed in with. You can’t go anywhere, but you can cuddle up on the couch with a blanket and some hot chocolate – and whoever you happen to be snowed in with, if it’s a cuddling sort of relationship. It can be peaceful, knowing that you don’t have to do anything or go anywhere. Write a story about being snowed in. BONUS GOAL: “I guess that’s that, then.” If your submission includes this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
