Challenge 144: INVINCIBLE

adj. incapable of being conquered, overcome, or subdued Is there really such a thing as being invincible? Even Superman has his kryptonite, after all; characters who truly can’t be defeated in any possible way are rare, and make for a storytelling challenge. How do you fight a villain with no weak spots? Can someone with no vulnerabilities ever understand what the world is like for other people, well enough to become their hero? And what about someone who only believes they’re invincible, or at least acts like it? Do they take too many risks, out of a desire to prove something or because they genuinely don’t see the risks? What if they’re wrong about their own invincibility? What if they’re right? Write a story about invincibility. BONUS GOAL: “He has no known weaknesses.” If your submission includes this line (with pronoun adjustments as needed), it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
