Title: Strange Buzzing Sound
Fandom: Transformers (Rescue Bots)

Summary: Blades thinks bees are scary
“What’s that scary sound?” Blades looked around, visibly uncomfortable. Earth was really a scary planet to be and he was certain that he would never get used to living here. Especially not when everyday seems to have new surprises in store for him and most of said surprises weren’t pleasant ones.
“Scary? You’re overreacting. If anything, than this is an annoying sound if it won’t disappear soon.” Heatwave commented the sound his audio sensors had picked up and shook his head. It wasn’t visible on his face but as always he was amused over how scared Blades could be. Somehow it was endearing, even if it could be draining to deal with him, if no one would succeed in calming him down during a short time frame.
“No. It is scary. I bet it is some kind of strange creature, which only waits for the perfect opportunity to attack us.” His optics roamed around, trying to detect the source of the sound.
“If you wouldn’t hear it as well, I would think that I’m crazy.” Blades murmured, while he tried even harder to find out from where this strange buzzing noise came.
Heatwave was wise enough to swallow down the remark he was about to say. On any other day he would have said what was on his memory bank but somehow he refrained from it. Maybe because this sound was strangely familiar. It reminded him of a very low industrial tone but he knew that this was wrong and that it had a different origin.
“I won’t stay any longer here. Maybe I’ll be safe from whatever is approaching us in the headquarter.” Blades remarked and was about to head towards the headquarter, when he felt Heatwave’s hand on his shoulder.
“Did you forget that there are still doing some maintenance work in there?” Heatwave asked him. “But … but I don’t want to stay here. I don’t want to die.”
Heatwave burst out in laughter and slapped Blades on the shoulder. “I doubt that you’ll die.”
Embarrassed Blades turned his face away from his teammate, who was probably right but right now he couldn’t believe him.
Chase came around the corner with a curious expression on his face. Hearing Heatwave laughing was always unusual. The police bot wondered what could be the reason Heatwave was showing this rare side of him, when he saw Blades next to him, who looked embarrassed but also a tad frightened.
“What’s going on here? Heatwave? Blades?”
The latter was relieved to see Chase and looked at him, silently begging him to tell Heatwave to stop laughing.
“Blades thinks that he’s going to die because there is this sound we can’t identify.” Heatwave’s expression mirrored his amusement, which earned him a dead look from Chase in return but it didn’t stopped him from continuing to speak. “And you know how Blades is: ‘There is this big scary earth-creature that will come and kill us all’.”
Once more Heatwave laughed but as soon as he saw Chase raising his hand to silently signalize him to be quite he stopped.
Chase focused on the sound. For the moment he couldn’t tell for sure from where it came and for some reason he was convinced that it was a sound which belonged on Earth.
Astro-seconds passed and turned into astro-minutes but the source of the sound didn’t seemed to move further than a certain radius.
“Hmm. I know that sound.” Chase spoke to himself.
“Me too.” Blades remarked with a low voice. “That’s why I’m so scared. It’s connected to an awful memory. I sense it.” He nervously let his optics roam over the nearby surrounding. His wings twitched constantly while he was unable to move from the spot where Heatwave had stopped him.
Chase looked up to the sky, organizing his thoughts and going through the sounds he had collected on Earth. He hadn’t heard that sound often but now that it was getting warmer and more flowers were blooming everywhere he had often heard it but never payed much attention to it.
Worried Blades gazed at Chase, while he tried to stop going through his memories. But this was impossible and suddenly he remembered that sound and the memory he had connected to it.
“I knew that we are going to die. This killer … this Candyman is coming to get us.” He shrieked out and grabbed Heatwave’s arm, who just gave him a dead look.
“That was a movie, Blades.” Heatwave closed his optics and shook his head. It was never a good idea to leave Blades alone with the television, especially not after midnight.
“Bees?” Chase wondered.
“He’s covered in Bees and they live inside of him. Did you saw him? Where is he?” Blades wished from the bottom of his spark that he could find the strength to move and seek shelter.
“In the television.” Heatwave grumbled.
Unintentionally Blades had given Chase the hint he had searched for. He searched for the sounds of bees he had heard. Bingo. That was a match. The mystery was solved.
“But Bees are real.” Now it was Chase who snickered. “There must be a beehive near by.”
They had been too focused on trying to locate the source of the sound that they hadn’t noticed that Boulder had listened to them for some time. The three were taken by surprise when they heard his voice from seemingly out of nowhere.
“Did you guys know that bees are that noisy because they beat their wings 11,400 times per minute?”
“That’s impressive.” Blades remarked.
“And they have five eyes.” Boulder added, causing Blades to make a grimace. “That’s scary. I told you guys bees are scary.”
AN: Because this is such a niche show to write for, you may not know how they look (and I'm always so bad at including a bit more character description for the fandom blind <- will work on that) Here we have the helicopter who thinks bees are scary, a bulldozer who gives you facts you never asked for, the police car who tries to solve the problem and the firetruck who is a bit grumpy (as always)
I tried to add some humor, since that was rarely there in my last pieces.

The mental images I had during writing were a delight and I wish I would be able to draw more than just stick figures
(will read your entry after i come home from work - real life is awful right now, that's why I was so absent the last weeks here :()
