Summary: Shiori joins the fencing team captained by Juri. What does this new beginning mean for them? Juri x Shiori


It was the first of the month and time for Juri to review new applicants for Ohtori Academy's fencing team. There were many applicants, and a few who were qualified. Juri noted the qualified with little interest until she came upon the one who had always had her interest for good or for ill. “Shiori?”

“I want to be on the fencing team with you Juri.” Shiori had her head dipped down.

“Do you think it will be like the old days?” Juri looked straightforward, past Shiori and into the past.

“No.” Shiori raised her head. “I know we can't go back, and I don't want to.” Juri's eyes widened. “I want a new beginning for us, I want the chance to learn from you again, to show you that I have changed.”

Juri looked into Shiori's eyes. “You're sure about this?” Shiori nodded. “I see.” Juri took a deep breath. “Then lets get you measured for your uniform and get you your own sword.”

“Yes, Captain Juri!” Juri felt a flush of pride from those words that she'd never felt from anyone else using them, and she could see honesty in Shiori's face. This truly was a new beginning.

100% canon blind, but I liked this. It gave me some nice insight about their relationship and personalities despite my lack of knowledge.

I'm glad you liked it. I should mention that this is my interpretation based on how they are at the very end of the series; for the main body of the series, their relationship is very dysfunctional.
