[#149] EVERY DOOR AN OPEN ONE (LUCIFER TV)

Theme Prompt: #149 - Glitch
Title: Every Door An Open One
Fandom: Lucifer (TV)
Ratings / Warnings: PG
Bonus: No
Word Count: 217
Summary: Locked doors aren't a problem for Lucifer. Chloe tries not to think too hard about this.

Not for the first time, when Detective Chloe Decker comes down to make breakfast, she finds her partner Lucifer happily cooking breakfast for her and Trixie.

How is he getting into her house when the door is locked? There must be some sort of glitch with the lock but it seems to be fine when she does check. But then she has to start thinking how Lucifer can open any locked door he feels like when they're on a case, something that admittedly has made a difference or saved a life.

Chloe should tell Lucifer again that he shouldn't just walk into her house whenever he feels like it, but he would only look at her like a confused puppy with those big dark eyes. Even though he's a British nightclub owner with more money than sense. Even though he can do things no human should be able to do.

Those thoughts always start leading her to a place she really doesn't want to go to, plus it's too early in the morning for that.

Lucifer smiles when he sees her and the whole room seems to light up.

"Hello, Detective! Breakfast is just about ready," he said happily.

There's a glitch with the lock in her door, that's all. Maybe it's an old lock after all.

Really liked this! People are always willing to explain away things they don't want to think about too hard.
curiosity: Close up of a tabby cat's face from nose to corner of the eye, including part of the muzzle and a few whiskers. (Default)

Oh Detective. So blind. That show could have been three seasons shorter if you'd just have opened your got darned eyes ... which I suppose was the point.
