I couldn’t believe my luck. The afternoon had been a success in more than one way. Skywarp had been of big help and in the end he had as much as fun I did, while we’ve practiced the dance-scene. But not only did he tried his best, no, in the end he had been the one who had taken matters into his own servos and surprised me with a kiss.
“And I’ve imaged that I would be the one to see how far I could take matters.” Amused from the memory of how our first kiss had happened, I gaze into the night. It’s a warm autumn night and since I know that my processor is way too busy with making me think about the afternoon, I’ve decided to go on a night flight with Buster.
“You see, the hard work payed off.” My face lit up with joy as I petted Buster. It was a strange feeling to know that my dream had come true, that today a new chapter of my existence would begin, one that would no longer deal with myself and my dog, my own struggles, accomplishments and hopes on planet Earth but which would include Skywarp in a new way.
For some Earth-seconds I closed my optics and recalled our first kiss. For some Earth-seconds I closed my optics and recalled our first kiss. I didn’t expected
But if I was honest to myself it had been just the cherry on the top. Our more or less improved dance which had lead to it, had been the most exciting experience in a long time for me.
The way our bodies had moved, sometimes decreasing the space between us, sometimes eliminating it. A gentle touch here, a subtle bump there and all innocent at first. “I’m sure this wasn’t our last dance.”
“Do you remember the first time we’ve danced?” Skywarp smiled at me, his index digit drawing circles on my cheek.
“How could I ever forget that one? It wasn’t easy to convince you.” I returned the smile, locking my optics with his. “And now you’ve understood the language of dancing.”
“But only with you, babe.” His digit traveled over the cabling of my neck.
I just held him in my arms, servos resting between his wings.
“I never thought I would enjoy something so unlikely for one of us, you know.” I couldn’t resit to let out a small laugh. “Silly seeker. Haven’t you noticed the parallels between our dances and the battles we’ve fought? You always have to be graceful to a certain degree and know a set of movements which allows you to bring distance between you and your enemy but at the same time, you sense when you need to decrease said distance.”
Skywarp’s expression changes, his processor is busy converting the meaning of what I’ve told him. “It makes sense. It’s a bit of an unusual comparison but it works.”
“There are moments when your enemy is too close and you need distance between you and your target.” I break the embrace and jump backwards.
“But what if the target wants you at a short distance?” Skywarp teleports and is suddenly behind me, his servos laying on my shoulders and suddenly I find myself facing him. “Maybe your target is up for some hand-to-hand combat? What do you do then?”
I quickly move my shoulders and break free from him once more, only to use the moment of surprise to grab Skywarp by his wrists. “Looks like I’ve won, then.” A playful smirk appears on my face and I yank him towards me to pull him into a tight embrace.
“Oh, not so fast, babe.” Skywarp laughs and in the next second I feel a strong kick against my leg before he steps on my feet as well. “Sorry, I’m a clumsy dancer.”
The distraction had worked but only for some astro-seconds but they were enough so that he could free at least one of his wrists. I increase the grip around his other wrist.
“You thought you would get away with this?”
I pull him closer with more force than necessary. I’ve calculated right and once he meets the wall and block his way.
“You’ve hurt me, babe. How do you want to make up for that?” I tease him, throwing a playful look at him, while I bend for forward until our faces are only inches apart.
Skywarp gives me an innocent look which shouldn’t be so adorable. “If you give me an astro-minute you’ll receive the best consolation I’m capable of.”
Now that was a promise. “It better be true what you’ve just promised.”
I step aside, letting my optics wander of his backside as Skywarp walks towards the working space. For astro-seconds he is busy on the computer, some old model I’ve gotten hold of which is mostly serving as music library.
‘He’ll chose our song.’ I think but as soon as the music starts I notice that he had chosen a different song. One which expresses how deep our feelings towards each other are.
He’s holding out his servo and I gladly take it and let him pull me towards him. I notice how much his dancing skills had improved during the last deca-cycles and enjoy the improved dance. At the end of it we lay in each others arms, laughing and enjoying out existence.
“I never told you but this song is my favorite. I even looked up the movie scene where this is featured.” Skywarp confesses shyly. “We should practice this dance, what do you think?”
“Deal. But tonight features a different one.” From the way he looks at me, I notice that he had understood the subtle hint.

These two just make me want to sweet stuff. And it's always a good excuse to point out that they have a soft side as well.
