Challenge 156: LEAP OF FAITH

Most people will tell you that when you need to decide what you’re going to believe or what you’re going to do, you should look at the evidence and make your choice based on that. What do you know for sure? But sometimes there just isn’t much to work with. Sometimes you have no way of knowing what will happen if you open that door, or make that phone call, or pick up that magic amulet. You have to make a leap of faith. Taking a leap of faith can be hard, even terrifying, even if you know exactly what you hope will happen. If you’re wrong, how big will the consequences be? Will you lose a friend, lose yourself, end the world? But if you’re right, the rewards might be even bigger. Write a story about a leap of faith.
