[#162 | Hero] Challenge Post
| Challenge 162: HERO |
How do you define a hero? Classical heroes were mythical or legendary figures, maybe descended from the gods and given powers beyond ordinary mortals. In a less-legendary sense, many people would define a hero as someone who’s accomplished something great or noble, leading an army, saving a life, doing something thought to be impossible. In some stories, being a hero is an actual job – someone with or without superpowers, protecting their city for a living. To a child, a parent or older sibling might be their hero, just because of who they are. Some heroes know they’re heroic; others would deny it no matter what proof they were presented with. Are your characters heroes, or do they have heroes? What do they think about the idea? Do they want to be heroes? Write a story about a hero. If your submission features this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting! |
| Challenge ends Monday, January 9 at 9:00PM EST. • Post submissions as new entries using the template in the profile • Tag this week's entries as: [#] submission, 162 – hero • If you have questions about this challenge, please ask them here |
