Summary: It's the first anniversary of Aaron & Marta's new lives. Post-canon.
Today Aaron realised it was the one year anniversary of he and Marta having fled on a ship bound for islands in turquoise seas. A place where the agents that had hunted them would never find them.
They live on a moderately populated island; just enough civilisation to be comfortable, but not one with too many CCTV cameras to capture too many images of them.
Marta waits tables, he works on construction sites. Different names, different lives now. He can easily put in a hard days work without too much effort and he likes seeing how a project comes together. His skin is tanned by the sun these days and some black hair dye helps him fit in a bit more.
Aaron decides to buy some flowers and bring them home, for they grow everywhere here. When he was a soldier, he didn't have time to notice such things, unless it somehow impacted on his mission.
"Hey honey, I'm home. Time to party!" he says with a smile when he comes home to their rented accommodation. Smiles come easily when he sees Marta, even though her hair is blonde now, cut shorter. She's had to change as well.
Marta greets him and thanks him for the flowers, dark knowledge in her eyes. She knows what day it is too.
