Challenge 195: BAD DAY

We’ve all had them. The day where nothing goes right. If it can go wrong, it has. All the lights are red, the café is out of blueberry bagels, the dog chewed on the last clean pair of socks, your neighbor played your least favorite kind of music until two in the morning, and oh yeah, dark forces turned Main Street into a river of lava. What else can possibly go wrong today? Maybe you shouldn’t have asked that. What kind of bad days do your characters deal with? Are their problems mundane everyday annoyances, or a little more fantastical? Do they try to make their day better? Hole up at home until it’s over? Make sure everyone knows they’re suffering as they power through it? Write a story about a bad day. BONUS GOAL: When It Rains, It Pours If your submission includes rain, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
