Challenge 210: CHAOS

Anything that can go wrong, has! Maybe it’s relatively harmless: the toddlers have escaped containment, let the kittens out of the kennel, and discovered the finger paints, and our heroes have a messy, sticky afternoon ahead of them. Or maybe it’s far more serious: a major international crisis, some kind of invasion, some kind of apocalypse, and no one was prepared to deal with it. Perhaps, if your heroes are particularly unlucky, it’s both kinds at once! How do they deal with the chaos? Are they contributing to it? Trying to fix it? Panicking? Hiding from the whole thing and hoping someone else will deal with it? Write a story about chaos. BONUS GOAL: “Don’t threaten me with a good time.” If your submission features this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
