[#216 | Meticulous] Challenge Post

Challenge 216:
METICULOUS
marked by extreme or excessive care in the consideration or treatment of details

Some things demand precision and care. When something needs to be done right, with no room for error, you want someone meticulous: someone who takes their time and pays attention to every detail, no matter how small. But other times, things just need to get done and the details don’t matter so much! Sometimes speed is more important than perfection, and someone who focuses on the latter can be deeply frustrating to someone looking for the former.

Where do your characters fall on the spectrum from meticulous to not at all? How do they feel about it? Is there such a thing as taking too much care with the details, and have they done that?

Write a story about being meticulous.

BONUS GOAL: “There’s such a thing as too precise.”

If your submission includes this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!

Challenge ends Monday, April 15 at 9:00PM EST.
