Challenge 227: SPONTANEOUS

n. arising from a momentary impulse; acting or activated without deliberation Sometimes it’s better not to plan things in advance. Sure, there’s something to be said for a meticulous itinerary, but that can be stifling, boring, or even dangerous for someone who needs to avoid being too predictable. If you don’t make a plan at all, things might go sideways or very, very wrong, but they won’t be boring! Are our characters spontaneous, or do they want a little more planning? How do they handle it when they don’t have the chance to plan, or when someone else does something impulsive? Write a story about doing something spontaneous. BONUS GOAL: “I knew this was going to happen, and here I am anyway.” If your submission features this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
