Challenge 232: COFFEE SHOP

It’s the classic starting point for a romantic encounter – two characters meet over a cup of coffee, and the rest, as they say, is history. But all kinds of things can happen in a coffee shop! Maybe your characters worked at a coffee shop in college, or in an alternate universe, and they’re just trying to get through the day. Maybe the local coffee shop is the secret resistance meeting place, because who’d suspect such an innocent-looking location? Maybe it’s where your characters go to get some time alone, or the first place they stumble into after an all-night adventure. Or maybe the coffee shop itself is a little more than meets the eye… Write a story about a coffee shop. BONUS GOAL: “I might need something stronger than coffee.” If your submission features this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
