Summary: Chloe remembers seeing something odd in Lucifer's reflection. But that was just the drink talking, right?
Chloe woke the next morning with a hangover and cringed. She wasn't usually like this - she was a sensible detective and mother of a young daughter.
But after Dan had texted her saying he wanted a divorce (by text!), she had been left reeling and seeking comfort in alcohol. For a while now she had been trying to reconnect again with her husband but instead, he was dropping her now like a hot potato.
More details came floating back. She had ended up going to Lucifer's place looking for a sympathetic ear from the too-handsome, flamboyant British playboy who helped her solve crimes. Despite his 'life is a party starring ME' attitude, he believed in her and was supportive, which Dan had stopped doing long ago, if she was honest.
She remembered sitting down on the couch besides Lucifer, her upset feelings spilling out. At one point she had looked up at the mirrored ceiling of his penthouse and saw their reflections - had seen his with gleaming white wings. One of those wings had been wrapped softly around her like a fluffy white blanket.
Chloe had started thinking she had had too much to drink and then must have passed out.
Lucifer was never going to let her live this one down, after he had obviously carried her to his bedroom and then slept elsewhere. She was in so much trouble.
Anyway, her mind had been just playing tricks with his mirror. Right?
