Beautiful sea-dwelling people with human upper bodies and fish tails – dangerous aquatic predators luring sailors to their deaths, or just regular people that happen to live in the ocean and have fish tails? However they’re portrayed, mermaids have captured human imaginations for a very, very long time. Do your characters believe in mermaids? Have they ever met one? Maybe they are mermaids – or maybe mermaids are just an old legend. Write a story about mermaids. BONUS GOAL: High Tide If your submission features the tides (high or low), it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
