Summary: Branden's scars doesn't bother Tasha. Maybe one day he'll believe her.


Tasha knows Branden is self-conscious about his scars. The Admiral is tall and handsome - almost scarily so - with his dark hair and ice blue eyes. The way he can take command just by walking into a room.

But those who made him into a cyborg by replacing his limbs, didn't care about the scars left on his body. Scars long faded from blood red to white.

Branden wasn't supposed to mind either, as he was forbidden emotions. Just be an efficient weapon.

Don't fall in love, either. Then they tried - and failed - to punish him for falling in love with her. Changing sides to be at her side.

Sometimes Branden prefers the lights to be dim when they're together in private, an unhappy tension in his body.

Tasha reassures him wordlessly that there's nothing wrong with him, that she loves him.

Maybe one day, she'll make them pay for what they did to him.
