Challenge 057: MARTYR

n. a person who sacrifices something of great value and especially life itself for the sake of principle How many heroes are willing to sacrifice themselves for principle? It’s a classic story climax; the hero puts their lives on the line for principle, or to save the world, or to save someone they love. But it’s not just the hero. Any character can step up for the heroic sacrifice – a family member, a sidekick, sometimes even the villain. Write a story about a martyr. BONUS GOAL: "I need your help; I can't fight this forever." If your story includes this line (from the Starset song “My Demons”), it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
