Challenge 018: LAW AND ORDER

There are many types of law, and many definitions of order. Natural order, laws of countries and regulations, the opposition to anarchy and chaos... but what laws are absolute, and what laws are subjective? Should laws be followed in the spirit, or by the letter? When does order not serve its purpose, or when do laws keep society together when it would otherwise fall apart? Write a story about character(s) obeying, rejecting, or otherwise engaging with a legal system. This week's theme prompt courtesy of effingunicorns! BONUS GOAL: Behind Bars If your submission contains a character in jail or being otherwise incarcerated, that entry will earn an extra point to be tallied during voting!
