Challenge 068: MASKS

This theme was suggested by kalineh! Physical masks are on a lot of people’s minds these days, for obvious reasons – but actual face coverings and breathing apparatuses aren’t the only kinds of masks. A politician might refer to their public persona as a mask; a spy or undercover agent might consider their disguise a mask; or a shy or nervous character might use humor or aggression to mask their difficulties in a social situation. Write a story about masks, physical or otherwise. BONUS GOAL: Big and Bold If your story is 800 words or longer, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!
