Challenge 069:
RAY OF SUNSHINE

Sometimes it seems like everything is hopeless and gray, and then the clouds part to allow one bright point of sunshine through. How do your characters feel about this? Do they actively look for those rays of sunshine, or do they not particularly care one way or the other?

Some people can be the embodiment of a ray of sunshine all by themselves, bringing optimism wherever they go. Does this endear them to the people around them? Are they happy with themselves, or is it a façade?

Write a story about a ray of sunshine – literal or not.

BONUS GOAL: Sunshine on a Cloudy Day

If your story includes clouds, rain, or storms, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!

Challenge ends Monday, October 5 at 9:00PM EST
