Cutting it a little close this time (sorry about that), but prompts are ready to go for the next few weeks!

Challenge 076: 12/2-12/9
Challenge 077: 12/9-12/16
Challenge 078: 12/16-12/23
Challenge 079: 12/23/20-1/6/21
Challenge 080: 1/6-1/13

Please note that Challenge 079 will be a two-week challenge, since I have holiday commitments those two weeks that are likely to cause issues with posting on time.

Bannermaker guidelines below the cut, in case anyone wants to review those before signing up.

If you are not able to make the banners for your week, please let me know as early as possible so I can find a backup option!

Also, as a reminder, ideas for prompts are always welcome and can be submitted here! Comments are screened, and any kind of suggestion is welcome.

Challenge 076:
CLOSED DOORS

A closed door is a very clear sign that something, someone, or somewhere is off-limits. Metaphorical “closed doors” might be a failure to get into a school or job, a loss of superpowers, a career-ending injury, or a blunt rejection from a love interest; literal closed doors might indicate hidden treasure, great danger, or someone who strongly values their privacy and won’t take kindly to being rejected. How do your characters handle closed doors, of either type? Do they try to find a way around, or break through? Or do they accept that there are some places they’re not meant to be?

Write a story about closed doors.

BONUS GOAL: Don’t Slam the Door

If your story includes a literal slamming door, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!

Challenge ends Monday, December 7 at 9:00PM EST
• Post submissions as new entries using the template in the profile
