Challenge 110:
TO THE LIBRARY
Sometimes, you need to do some research. Maybe the great quest, whatever it is, can’t progress without an artifact or spell of some kind. Maybe your characters need detailed blueprints in order to plan their latest heist, or want to identify the mysterious creature that just appeared in the basement. Maybe the last road trip ended in a debate over some obscure fact, and there’s money riding on the right answer. Or maybe your characters just need directions! Whatever the reason, there’s one place to start: the library.

It could be a traditional public library, or a hidden room in an ancient castle. Maybe one of the characters has a book-collecting relative with their own miniature library, or the futuristic spaceship has a holographic library. Do the characters think of it immediately, or need to be prompted? Does it have the information they need?

Write a story about the library.

BONUS GOAL: “This is a library, not a debate hall.”

If your story includes this line, it will earn an extra point to be tallied in voting!

Challenge ends Monday, September 27 at 9:00PM EST.
